Taylor Swift was spotted arriving at Japan’s Narita International Airport today (February 14). The country singer was greeted by her Japanese fans waving cameras and signs. Taylor graciously signed autographs and posed for pictures, smiling widely the whole time. She is no doubt one of the nicest celebs we have around. Taylor will be performing in Japan as a part of her “Fearless” world tour.
Just a few days ago, Taylor was in Australia to perform, but sadly attracted some criticism for feeding wild possums while visiting a park. But wildlife authorities say that feeding animals can disrupt their natural behavior, leaving them vulnerable to being attacked.
We’re sure Taylor didn’t mean any harm, and only wanted to show affection for the furry creatures.

Over the last three and a half years, Ms. Swift has established herself as pop’s leading naïf. Not in her songwriting, which has been precocious, but in her persona. By now, she’s even patented a look she whips out at award shows, concerts and more, when her innocence is threatened by acclaim: eyes wide, mouth agape, hand held over it as if to keep in the breath she’d just gasped as if it were her last.

Her Sunday night at the Grammys will be remembered as the turning point. She won four awards, including album of the year for “Fearless” (Big Machine), her outstanding second record — the youngest artist ever to do so, and the first solo female country singer to earn that as well. It was the ultimate stamp of insider approval for someone who insists that she’s thrilled just to be invited to the party.

Taylor Swift stepped out last Wednesday night (January 27) in a cute red, one-shoulder dress to attend Sak Fifth Avenue’s “Unforgettable Evening” gala benefiting EIF’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund, held at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

At the event, Swift posed with fellow country darlings Julianne Hough and Faith Hill, who attended with her husband Tim McGraw.

Taylor Swift was one of the many performers to rock out at the V Festival in at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex yesterday (August 22). Dressed in a sleeveless black dress, Taylor played the guitar and sang some of her greatest hits to an appreciative crowd and thousands of her fans. Other acts that day were Razorlight, The Specials, Lily Allen, The Script, Taylor Swift, Snow Patrol, Elbow, James, Biffy Clyro, James Morrison, and Ocean Colour Scene.

Taylor was recently featured in a promotional music video for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, alongside Katy Perry, Russell Brand, and Ne-Yo. The VMAs will be aired on September 13, and Taylor has been nominated in the Best Female Video category.

Taylor Swift was spotted outside the GMTV studios in London where she did gave an interview about her life as a music sensation. Taylor arrived in a purple low-cut sleeveless dress and greeted her fans waiting outside the studio. She signed autographs and posed for photos. During the interview, she spoke about trying to balance a normal life and super-stardom, “It still feels very surreal to me… you know, when it all hits me, because I just try to keep my life as normal as possible. I still go to the grocery store. I still do all the things that I used to do, it just takes a little longer and I’m talking to a lot more people and signing autographs now.”

Teen sensation Taylor Swift posed on the yellow carpet at the 57th Annual BMI Pop Awards in Beverly Hills yesterday (May 19). She also posed with some of her fellow winners, and showed off the Olympics-style gold medal she won. Taylor wore a gorgeous layered white sleeveless dress that barely reached down to her knees.

Taylor is one of the leading nominees for the Country Music Awards that is going to be held next month. Taylor has been nominated in four categories, including video of the year. This ties her with singer Brad Paisley, and only the band Sugarland has received more nominations than that. The show ill be held on June 16, and Taylot is set to perform.

The lovely Taylor Swift performed at the Academy of Country Music’s Artist of the Decade All Star Concert at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Monday (April 6). Taylor, an ACM winner herself, wore a very low-cut and short white sundress and a headband, and played the guitar while she sang. After her performance, she even recieved a warm hug from country legend George Strait. The concert was in honor of Strait, who was selected by the Academy as the artist of the decade.

Taylor recently told Seventeen magazine in the May 2009 issue that she actually enjoys writing songs and singing about her past relationships. She says, “Writing songs about people is the only way I know how to do things. I can’t wish I hadn’t written a song about someone, because if I hadn’t, that song wouldn’t exist. I just don’t find any joy in writing about things I haven’t been through. Right now, my favorite thing to write about is love. And breakups. And boys. And feelings.”

Taylor Swift was in Sydney, Australia yesterday (March 11) to act as arm-candy to Zac Efron for the premiere of his new film “17 Again”. Zac was sans girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens, but Taylor was there looking gorgeous in a crystal-encrusted strapless short white dress. With such fabulous company, we’re pretty sure Zac wasn’t missing Vanessa at the party.

Taylor recently made her primetime acting debut on the hit show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, where she played a murder victim. Taylor admitted to being a fan of the show for a long time, according to people magazine, and she was very psyched to be able to a guest star.
