We’re not sure how we feel about Keira’s choice of outfit, and we think she should gain a little extra weight. But other than that, Keira can do no wrong.

The Laurence Olivier Awards are equivalent to the Tony Awards in America, celebrating achievement in theater, opera and dance. Keira is a best supporting actress nominee for playing a manipulative movie starlet in the play The Misanthrope. Unfortunately, she lost out to Ruth Wilson for A Streetcar Named Desire.

She`s never been one to shy away from nudity. But as Hollywood beauty Keira Knightley arrived at the prestigious Laurence Olivier theatre awards, it was the naked ladies printed on her blouse that caused a stir.
The British actress, who usually plays it safe with her fashion choices pushed the boundaries with the ensemble, reported Daily Mail online.

Drawings of nude women were emblazoned all over her mocha-coloured blouse, while she had puppies printed on her black skirt.

She is the latest star to make her stage debut. Knightley plays a “beautiful, promiscuous” American film star in The Misanthrope. Her pulling power was apparent in the phenomenal advance ticket sales, according to The Independent. She’s only one of many big-name celebrities attracting the crowds. Scarlett Johansson, Sienna Miller, Jerry Hall and Cate Blanchett are also pulling their weight on Broadway and in London’s West End.

The formula for a play’s successful run is due in large part to a famous name. While it’s very true that an unknown actress could do a much better job, a show would rather bank on a big name to sell tickets. And sell, they did. According to the Society Of London Theater, 2008 was a huge year for London’s plays and musicals, pulling in over 14 million attendees.
