Singer Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas did her part for charity yesterday when she handed out food to the hungry herself at the Project Angel Food Program in Los Angeles. The charity event was aimed at raising awareness for people with HIV/AIDS. Fergie showed up before lunch time, got behind the counter and participated in serving lunch to the poor and sick. Geting truly hands-on involved in a charity event like this is one of the nicest things we’ve seen a celebrity do in recent times, and Fergie has certainly earned lots of positive publicity points for it.
