Rihanna was named Woman of the Year at the annual Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York city on Novermber 9, wearing a dramatic, architectural pleated ivory Stéphane Rolland Couture gown with a train and Cartier jewels.

Just days after her revealing interview with Diane Sawyer aired last Friday — a sophisticated and glamorous Rihanna stepped out in style on Monday night. Rihanna rolled into Carnegie Hall ookin’ like a million bucks. Sticking to her cracked-out fashion tastes, she didn’t disappoint.

Rihanna was rather emotional accepting the award (watch video below). Congratulations Rihanna, you sooo deserved it!

David Bowie’s model wife Iman presented Rihanna with the award and said “I’m impressed with her honesty and courage”.“She has taken her own scars and used them to create a new story of strength and awareness” – via Just Jared

Rihanna came onstage with a bit of teary eyes and joked ““Sorry, I’m PMS-ing.” As usual Ri Ri looks amazing, this time in a figure-hugging full-length gown, very elegant and gorgeous.

At 21, Rihanna has sold more than 12 million records, she was signed on immediate by Def Jam after her audition at the age of 17. From then it was all uphill for the young Barbadian beauty.. until her February assault by her equally famous ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. The world was left in shock but I think the world is equally happy to see Rihanna recovering from the assault and her courage to open up.
