After host George Clooney explained the importance of the fund-raising concert, now it was Wyclef Jean who appeared on stage to share his insight about the disaster. After John Legend’s performance was followed by Christina Aguilera who sang “Lift Me Up”.
Friday’s “Hope for Haiti Now” telethon raised more than $57 million in earthquake relief funds in the first 24 hours after it aired live on more than 50 domestic networks and in 60 countries.
