New York may had Times Square and the big dropping ball on New Year’s Eve, but Las Vegas had Carmen Electra – in a bikini.
Electra hosted “Billboard’s New Year’s Eve Live,” Fox’s New Year’s Eve special, from the Mandalay Bay Resort in Sin City.
“It’s a sexy beach alternative to freezing your butt off in Times Square,” executive producer Bob Bain told The News before the show. “To be in New York [as a live show], it’s very difficult to compete with Dick Clark because that show is an institution. We needed to come up with something that feels different.”
