Avatar-star Zoe Saldana attended the New York screening of HBO’s comedy-drama How To Make It In America on February 9. She was dressed casually in black, but wore a long overcoat and shiny black boots, looking stylish as usual. Zaldana was asked about how she felt about recently being snuffed by Vanity Fair from their cover featuring up and coming starlets. She was gracious about the subject, saying in time the media will catch up with America’s diversity. She said, “Our pace might be a little slow and it might not be on par to how we, as American civilians, would like it to be, but it is still an amazing country. So, when I look at magazines like Vanity Fair and Vogue, I know that it’s just a matter of time, the same way Obama took his time and he got to office and became President… it’s just a matter of time until magazines, the media, our art, our culture, our colloquial lifestyle, tags along to our today reality.”
