Stepping out for an evening on the red carpet, Selena Gomez turned up at the 2010 NAACP Image Awards in Los Angeles on Friday (February 26).

Drawing quite the ovation as she strolled into The Shrine Auditorium, the Disney darling smiled as she posed for pictures ahead of the swanky ceremony.

During the course of the evening, Miss Gomez, 17, finds herself among the nominees – as she’s up for Outstanding Performance in a Youth/Children’s Program.

Joining Selena in the highly competitive category are Nick Cannon, Keke Palmer, LaShawn Jefferies and Caitlin Sanchez.
