Rachel Weisz poses outside of the David Letterman show in NYC, NY where she was a guest on December 9, 2009.
Rachel Weisz is appearing in GQ this month for a delicious photo shoot and profile. Weisz’s new movie “The Lovely Bones” opens in limited release Friday, Dec. 11 (before going nationwide in January) and already has people buzzing about her performance as grief-stricken mother Abigail Salmon.
Were she to win, it would be Weisz’s second Oscar acceptance speech. She won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 2005 for her role in “The Constant Gardener.” According to GQ, Weisz “had to wage an aggressive letter-writing campaign to director Fernando Meirelles” to get the part, but it obviously paid off for both her and Meirelles.
Funnily enough, though her newest role is that of a mother of a slain girl, Weisz tells GQ, “There’s nothing more boring than parents talking about their children. They’re cute little things, but it’s just not interesting.”
