Nearly 120 Oscar nominees gathered at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, on Monday, February 2, 2009, for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences‘ 2009 Nominees Luncheon.
Penelope Cruz probably suffering from jet lag, as she was in Madrid accepting her third Goya Award on Sunday.
Sid Ganis, president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences told the 112 contenders gathered at the annual nominees luncheon, “Your categories are being presented in a completely different way. Heads up. Cinematographers, editors, composers. All of you guys. You’re in for a big surprise.”
