Twilight was a big winner at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, collecting five trophies, including “Best Film”, “Best Kiss” for Kristen and Robert, and “Best Female Performance” for Kristen. There were some pretty entertaining moments on stage during the evening. The first was Kristen dropping her Golden Popcorn, and then comically attempting to catch it while giving her acceptance speech. The audience roared with laughter at this gaffe, but it adoringly reminded us of something her screen character Bella would do. It seems she was meant to play the part of the clumsy heroine from the book. When Kristen won “Best Kiss” with Robert Pattinson, the audience was revved up to see some live kissing, as is the tradition after that award is won. But surprisingly, Kristen only teased the audience by hovering close to Robert’s lips, and then pulling away. She thanked the voters and walked away. Poor Robert, was it only us or did his disappointment seem too real?
The trio of Kristen, Robert and Taylor Lautner also debuted for the first time ever a small trailer for the upcoming New Moon.
