Jessica Biel hosted the Academy’s Scientific and Technical Awards ceremony in Beverly Hills on February 8th. This is the part of the Oscars that nobody would care about had it not been for Jessica in an exquisite Oscar de la Renta gown (I think that’s why she was chosen). The ceremony was held inside the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, and honored the technical side of filmmaking.

Although it won’t be televised, part of this ceremony will be broadcast during the Oscars on February 22nd. We look forward to catching some video footage of Jessica looking gorgeous. That would make the Oscar yawn-fest a lot more bearable.
Jessica recently earned kudos for being the ideal girlfriend when she threw beau Justin Timberlake a Superbowl-themed surprise birthday party, inviting all of his friends and family.

I’ve loved Jessica Biel since she was on 7th Heaven, and I love the dress she is wearing to this little attended Oscar event. My favorite Jessica movies, Next, was given 3.5 stars and called “Great” by the guys at EverHype (read more movie, music, and game reviews at http://www.everhyp.com/?utm_source=bc). I’d love to see Jessica take on a lead roll in a series drama – I really think she’s ready to headline a blockbuster.
