Jessica Alba was part of the star-studded V-Day Luncheon in Los Angeles to show her support for the cause the organization fights for, namely, to prevent violence against girls and women worldwide. Other celebs present were Charlize Theron, Rosario Dawson (a board member) and playwright and activist Eve Ensler, who founded the organization.

Jessica told reporters that violence against women is not just something that happens in Third World countries, but even to celebrities in Hollywood. She cited the recent example of singer Rihanna being threatened by her boyfriend Chris Brown.
Its good to see Jessica being a part of such a good cause, and not being afraid to speak out on a touchy issue that’s been in the news lately.
