The Miracle Worker has returned to Broadway with a roster of hard-hitting actors. Abigail Breslin and Alison Pill will take the stage in the play based on Helen Keller. House’s Jennifer Morrison, and Matthew Modine also join the cast of the Broadway production directed by Kate Whoriskey. The group promoted their upcoming Broadway jaunt today in NYC. Performances begin Feb. 12.
The production has posted new video on their website of the first rehearsal, and a special interview with John Dugdale, the blind photographer who has created the production’s publicity photos. Dugdale lost his sight progressively approximately 17 years ago. Employing the cyanotype photographic process, known for its relative ease of use and aesthetic quality, he has maintained a successful career. It is this photographic process that has given THE MIRACLE WORKER its unique blue-tinted artwork.
