It was great to see Diane Kruger taking a bit of a fashion risk and winning. The German actress, whose Inglourious Basterds co-star Christoph Waltz won Best Supporting Actor, looked elegant yet experimental in her lilac Christian Lacroix couture chiffon gown with dip dyed petals.
She gave the bog-standard metallic clutch a wide berth in favour of a white Raven Kauffman Couture clutch and waist bow. Bucking the hair trend for classic chignons, the 33-year-old actress oozed class in a wavy half up-do.
