Carrie Underwood posed for photographers with a very cute little mutt at the 6th Annual ‘Pedigree Pet Adoption Drive’ at the Bideawee Manhattan Pet Shelter in New York City today (March 30). The country crooner looked gorgeous dressed in casual jeans, a bright yellow top and a black jacket.

Carrie is determined to be a modern bride when she exchanges vows with ice hockey star Mike Fisher – she wants cupcakes instead of a wedding cake.

The bride-to-be admits she has started making plans for her big day – and is already fixed on one detail.

The Jesus, Take The Wheel singer says, “We’re kind of doing cupcakes. I consider myself a very traditional person – and more than anything we’re getting married and that’s the important part – but we want everyone to have a good time so we’re doing some things like that that are a little different.”

Showing off her amazing vocal skills, Carrie Underwood performed during the pregame show prior to Super Bowl XLIV at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida on Sunday evening (February 7).

The “American Idol” alum belted out the National Anthem as the crowd geared up for an exciting contest between the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints.

Carrie Underwood, who won the fourth season of American Idol, was a guest and a performer at the show’s eighth season finale yesterday (May 20) in Los Angeles. Carrie posed for the cameras on the red carpet just before the show, dressed in a lovely bright short pink dress that was layered at the front. The low-cut sleeveless outfit made her look like an angel. Carrie was the last performer at the show, where she sang one of her hits “Home Sweet Home”, while memorable scenes from the entire season was played on a giant screen behind her.
Contestant Kris Allen (whom many have called the male Carrie Underwood) won the show, beating out the edgy Adam Lambert.
