Lindsay Lohan was spotted smoking a cigarette outside her drug rehab outpatient home today (November 24).

The “Mean Girls” actress sported a white sweater with black stripes, black trousers, and black heels as she kept her back to the paparazzi.

In related news, LiLo’s mom Dina Lohan is still struggling with being apart from Lindsay over the Thanksgiving holiday and is pleading with the authorities to let her leave California.

Dina told press, “I am still trying to get her to New York to be with us for Thanksgiving.” But an insider says that’s not going to happen. “The judge has not given her permission to leave the state, in fact, she can’t get permission until after January 3rd.”

Lindsay Lohan was spotted leaving her latest treatment locale in Palm Desert, CA on Wednesday afternoon (November 10).

Looking refreshed in an oversized cardigan and black leggings, the “Mean Girls” star smiled it up for paparazzi while spotted outside of the sober living house.

Having made the move after a stay at the Betty Ford Center, Miss Lohan is scheduled to stay in rehab until January 3, 2011 as a result of her recent probation violations.

Meanwhile, it’s being reported by Radar Online that LiLo is trying to get a “work pass” so that she can meet to discuss her next planned movie “Inferno” with the people in charge of production.

The film’s director, Matthew Wilder, told Radar, “Lindsay is happy and I have been sending her some films starring several actors that we would like to cast alongside her in our movie. She just received them so we are still waiting for her feedback but we really want her to be part of the whole experience even although she is not physically here in Los Angeles.”

Wilder added, “Lindsay told me that she is working to get a work pass so that she can get out and meet us to discuss the project. Obviously, she would probably need some kind of monitor and I think that she feels cooped up sometimes which is understandable.”

The “Georgia Rule” actress looked to be carrying a compact disc as she made her exit, sporting a black top and black trousers.

LiLo has made the transition from the Betty Ford inpatient clinic to the outpatient halfway house as she slowly gets back to normal life.

Her mother Dina told press that Lindsay “spent the 30 days in [inpatient care] and now she’s in a home,” according to Gossip Cop.
