Despite the fact she hid her face with a hood and enough bronzer to make those Jersey Shore kids pop erections of envy, Lindsay Lohan was actually invited to the The New York Times Style Magazine Party and didn’t crash as some outlets claimed yesterday. Gossip Cop reports:

Gossip Cop spoke to the party’s organizer, Peggy Siegal, who told us, “She didn’t crash. She was expected.”
And, among the reasons Lohan came to the party — which also drew the likes of Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Jeff Bridges, Jane Fonda, Adam Lambert, and Anna Kendrick – was that she wanted to see Best Screenplay nominee (“It’s Complicated”) Nancy Meyers, who cast her way back when in “The Parent Trap.”

The BBC has released a trailer previewing its documentary, Lindsay Lohan In India, which chronicles the actress’s weeklong visit in December to investigate the trafficking of women and children.

“It was an amazing, life-changing experience for her,” Lindsay’s mom, Dina, told PEOPLE on Saturday. “I’m so proud of Lindsay, that under all the scrutiny the tabloids put her under, she is a very strong, caring, talented girl who ignores all the negative, and continues to move forward in a positive direction. I am so proud of her.”

According to the BBC, Lohan, 23, meets with “young boys who work 16-hour days under the constant threat of beatings, …a reformed trafficker who would make a quick buck luring young girls…[and] a shelter where young girls promised domestic work for India’s burgeoning middle classes were trafficked into brothels and forced into prostitution.”

Last time Lindsay Lohan went shopping on St Barts, she wore little more than a minuscule bikini.

Thankfully, she covered up a little more on a shopping trip yesterday with her younger sister Ali.

But unlike her half-naked shopping trip at the weekend, Lindsay looked down in the mouth as she walked along a street on the Caribbean island ready to hit the boutiques.

Perhaps it was because the Hollywood star had been rather outdone in the attention-grabbing stakes by her skinny younger sibling.

Ali, 16, wore a tiny pair of board shorts in the hot sunshine with deck shoes and a bikini top, while her 23-year-old sister wore an off-white cover-up dress.

Lindsay Lohan is the newest risque cover girl photographed for Muse, an Italian fashion magazine. There is to be a video to go along with the starlet’s bold, bare all, career move. The Muse cover photo shows Lohan, shirt open, with the words “Lindsay Exposed” covering any titillating tidbits. While the Muse photos are readily available online, the video of Lohan’s shoot will not be released until Tuesday, December 8th.

Hollywood’s favorite bad girl is seen in the black and white footage smoking, drinking and stripping down for the sleek magazine.

The headline-making actress also poses seductively with a naked man for the controversial spread, with a woman soon joining them.

Photographer Yu Tsai tells that Lohan was completely professional and that the shots were all done artfully.
